before you bring us your Mac:

Be sure to back up your Mac to Time Machine or iCloud PRIOR to bringing your computer in for repair. Neither Apple nor iCommand is responsible for customer data loss during a hardware repair.

If your Mac does not power on, iCommand offers a range of data recovery options. Data recovery services ARE NOT covered under Apple limited warranty or the AppleCare+ extended warranty. Ask us for more information about your data recovery options when you check-in your Mac.

MAC HARDWARE DIAGNOSTICS & REPAIRS

iCommand does not require appointments for Mac laptop or desktop diagnostics. In most cases, your device will need to be checked into our diagnostics and repair queue and a certified Apple technician will perform a series of diagnostic tests to address the issues specified at check-in. Typically, these tests take 24-48 hours depending on the complexity of the issue. Diagnostic pricing depends on your level of coverage.

If you are unsure of your warranty status, click here and enter your serial number to determine whether you are in or out of warranty coverage.

APPLE LIMITED and APPLECARE+ WARRANTY:

As an Apple Authorized Service Provider, iCommand handles hardware repairs on your Mac under the Apple Limited Warranty and AppleCare+ Protection Plan. For eligible hardware repairs, parts and labor are covered. If there are any additional charges such as data transfer or data recovery fees associated with the repair, you will be notified before proceeding. Apple limited warranty and AppleCare+ does not cover data handling and it is the customer’s responsibility to have a good backup.

Note: iCommand in-house repair DOES NOT free help with software issues including (but not limited to) malware and software reinstallation. For free warranty support with these issues, customers must contact AppleCare support (1-800-275-2273). If Apple phone support is unable to help with software issues and ask you to bring the machine in for service, charges may apply.

OUT OF WARRANTY:

$49 Diagnostic Charge*

* Here’s how it works: If your device is out of warranty (i.e. Apple Limited Warranty, AppleCare+, liquid damaged, suffering from other accidental damage, etc.), the repair is subject to a paid diagnostic charge. iCommand will check your device into the repair queue and give you a call once we have a diagnosis and repair quote for your issue.

If you decide to repair your device, the diagnostic fee is waived. If you decide not to proceed with the repair, the diagnostic charge is collected when you come to pick up your un-repaired device. In some cases, iCommand will extend the opportunity to have the diagnostic charge waived when you recycle your un-repaired device.
